Bill Jacobs, chairman of the board for People’s Bank of Commerce
(OTCBB:PBCO), is pleased to announce the appointment of William St.
Laurent to its board of directors.
St. Laurent is founder and chairman of the board of True Bearing
Diagnostics in Washington, D.C. and SeqLL, Inc., based in Woburn,
Massachusetts. He is also the founder of St. Laurent Land & Cattle Co.,
Inc., based in Eagle Point, Oregon.
With George Washington University, True Bearing Diagnostics developed
CathDX, a pathway-based liquid angiogram/stress test for cardiac care
diagnosis. It is the first comprehensive cardiac care panel using a
precision personalized medicine approach and is in the process of a
confirmatory trial to present to the FDA.
SeqLL designs, manufactures and operates molecular sequencers for DNA
and RNA applications for precision personalized medicine. Since
purchasing the intellectual property and assets of Helicos in 2013, St.
Laurent and his team have refined, upgraded and perfected this
technology that uses no amplification in the sequencing process yielding
precise and repeatable results for biotech and healthcare applications.
St. Laurent Land & Cattle Co. raises beef with no hormones or
antibiotics. It also has 125 acres of vineyards in development.
In addition, St. Laurent is chief executive officer of St. Laurent
Properties, LLC in Orlando, Florida, and Vancouver, Washington;
president of Consolidated Forest Products, Inc., in Perry, Florida, and
American Mulch & Groundcover, LLC in Central Florida. He is
vice-president and board member for St. Laurent Institute in Vancouver,
Washington.
St. Laurent’s connection to Oregon banking dates back to 1989, when he
served as vice chairman for Western Bank until the bank sold in 1996.
His father, Georges St. Laurent, Jr., was the Chairman and CEO of
Western Bank.
